How It works

Review our packages

We offer 3 packages, which include our professional team visiting your home, meeting you and video recording your stories, before we lovingly edit the footage into a wonderful, broadcast quality movie that your family can watch and treasure for generations. If you would like to film your session at one of our locations across the UK, or if you have any special requests or requirements, please let us know.

Reserve the right Session for you

We offer 1, 1½ and 2½ hour sessions, with the option of including family photographs and home video footage into your final movie. All packages include our team’s travel time, setup and recording time, and professionally editing your movie. We take payment at the point of reservation, so that we can guarantee our team’s availability for your preferred dates and times.

We plan your session with you

After you have reserved your session, we will have an initial telephone call with you to talk more about the planned recording. We will agree a date and time that works for everyone involved, understand more about who is being recorded - their journey, topics of most interest and anything else we should know. We will also provide advice on how to prepare for the big day!

Don’t worry, our clients generally find the whole experience to be really enjoyable, and a great opportunity to relive amazing memories!

We record your session

We will arrive at your home - or the filming location - at the agreed date and time. We typically spend around 30 minutes setting up our cameras, lights and microphones - and get to know you a little better! Then we’ll have a friendly, unrushed conversation where hopefully we can find out all about you, your life journey and your stories! At the end of the session we’ll tidily pack away our equipment, and possibly take copies or scans of any family photographs or home movie footage that you’d like us to include in your final video.

After that, We lovingly edit your video and share this with you within 6 weeks

Online video calls are a great way to stay in touch - Living Legends provides a permanent, high quality video that helps to trigger loving memories, despite being miles apart.
In the rush of everyday life, we often don’t get the chance for the deeper questions, or often much beyond everyday conversation. We can spend holidays with our families, and speak with them regularly online or on the ‘phone, and never learn much more about their history, childhood, relationships, memories or their feelings. Living Legends provides an opportunity for unasked questions to be answered, and for untold stories to be brought to life.
Living Legends covers all of the UK, from our base in Hertfordshire. We have local teams of experienced video hosts and professional videographers, and can normally book new sessions within 4-6 weeks depending on customer requirements.
We offer 3 packages - Treasure Trove, Living Legends, and Chapter & Verse.
A Treasure Trove filming session is for 60 minutes minimum, for Living Legends the session is at least 1½ hours, with Chapter & Verse we film for at least 2½ hours.
With the Living Legends and Chapter & Verse packages, we also take time to include family photographs and videos in the final footage.
The time to finalise and professionally edit your session varies between the packages. We put a lot of care and attention into your video, so this typically takes between 2-6 weeks.
The longer the session, the deeper the discussion can be, and more anecdotes and memories recounted! For an individual, a 1 hour session can result in a great final video. For couples and more chatty individuals, longer sessions work best.

We will contact you within 1 business day to discuss your booking, agree the best date and time and answer any questions you might have.
We offer a full money back guarantee if you are not happy with the final video that we produce for you.
Video recordings are currently taking place approximately 4-6 weeks after you have reserved your session - depending on where in the UK you are located and how busy our local teams are. If you contact us with your session requirements and location, we can provide an indication of some dates/times that could work from our side.
If there is an urgent reason for your session to be prioritised, please let us know and we will try to be as flexible as possible.
We record videos 7 days per week currently, and will book in the best date and time with you straight after your reservation.
